Girls held "No Scrubs" up as an anthem; a song that put into words how annoyed they were at no count men constantly trying to hook up. Quite a few men were just plain annoyed with the track (probably because the song was about them). Regardless, "No Scrubs" was one of Atlanta-based TLC's greatest hits, staying in the Billboard Hot 100 top-ten for 17 straight weeks.
Now, another Atlanta native is breathing new life into an old classic.
Unlike Pluto (AKA Armond Arabshahi), a Los Angeles-based DJ/Producer/Songwriter from Atlanta, recently released a remix of "No Scrubs" featuring vocals from Joanna Jones.

Pluto's remix is reminiscent of smokey jazz clubs, where a powerful voice and strong backing from the house band combine for an incredible musical number.
That should be no surprise though, considering Pluto's musical background.
Pluto began teaching himself how to play the piano at the age of 5. His obsession with music lead him to learn the guitar, drums, and for the heck of it, clarinet. Throughout Pluto’s childhood, he began navigating through different genres of music, starting with rock, country, folk, screamo and most recently electronic/dance music.
His experiences in all of these genres can be heard in his most recent releases, utilizing real instruments & classic songwriting techniques.
Unlike Pluto, one of Billboard's Dance Artists to watch in 2016, is currently embarking on a multi-city tour across the United States and Canada. The tour includes stops in Chicago, Salt Lake City and San Francisco, with more cities to be added.
