East Point Offers Ticket Amnesty for the Month of February

East Point wants to keep non-violent offenders out of jail, while clearing up the backlog of cases clogging up municipal court.

Starting February 1st, the south metro Atlanta city is waiving failure-to-appear notices, arrest warrants and additional fees for individuals with any unpaid fines to the court.

Anyone with an outstanding balance or Warrant with the City of East Point can pay their ticket, and settle any delinquencies without additional penalty or fear of incarceration. A person can do so weekdays, Mondays through Fridays, from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. and Saturdays between 10:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. at the East Point Municipal Court, located at 2727 East Point Street, East Point, Georgia, 30344.

Included in this ticket amnesty are citations issued for local ordinance violations, possession of marijuana violations, or shoplifting violations where the individual failed to appear on their scheduled court date.
