Allstate Says Atlanta Has Some of America's Worst Drivers

Allstate Insurance Company released its 12th annual America's Best Drivers Report, and the study does not contain any good news for Atlanta.

Based on Allstate insurance claims data, the 2016 report measures vehicle collision frequency in America's 200 largest cities to determine which cities have the safest drivers.

Atlanta ranked 184. Atlanta's ranking in 2015 was 179.

Other Georgia cities on the Allstate list were Augusta (ranked 60), Columbus (ranked 104), and Savannah (ranked 136).

Boston has the worst drivers according to Allstate. Brownsville, a city in Texas, has the safest drivers.

Glenn Shapiro, Allstate executive vice president of claims, says, "The Best Drivers Report spotlights America's safest cities as we continue to heighten awareness around increasing roadway collisions that have unfortunate consequences, such as rising fatalities and potentially higher insurance costs."
