Pinewood Atlanta Studios Teams with Open Rivers Pictures to Host Film Industry Workshops

Located about thirty minutes south of Atlanta, Pinewood Studios in Fayetteville is quickly emerging as the center of the Marvel movie universe.

Both Ant-Man (2015) and the newly released film, Captain America: Civil War (2016), were shot at the Fayetteville studios. Another Marvel superhero flick, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, is currently filming at Pinewood; and The Avengers: Infinity War, Part 1 is expected to begin production in Fayetteville later this year.

There's little doubt metro Atlanta, as well as the entire state of Georgia, is experiencing a massive entertainment industry boom. This explosive growth brings with it the potential for jobs in front of and behind the camera.

Open River Pictures, a full service media production company based at Pinewood Studios, is offering several workshops for folks who want to break into the film industry.

Beginning in May, Open River Pictures will offer several film industry workshops covering a variety of subjects including: lighting and grip training, being a set production assistant, being an office production assistant, film making, and how to audition for TV and film.

Most Open River academy classes range between $125 and $250.
