WAOK Talk Radio Host Accused of Assaulting Woman During Domestic Dispute

Popular WAOK radio talk show host Rashad Richey had another run in with the law last month.

Georgia Unfiltered obtained police reports alleging Mr. Richey (whose full name is Ali Rashad Richey) assaulted a female, leaving a bruise near her bottom area.

According to the public documents, the woman reported the alleged assault to Atlanta police on 27 July 2015.

Georgia Unfiltered redacted the name and address of the female victim from the police reports.

She described Mr. Richey as her ex-boyfriend, and told police, "her ex-boyfriend came to her house . . . and forced his way in . . . to have a discussion about their relationship.

"Mr. Ali Richey, during their conversation, became physical by grabbing her arm and pushing her in the chest area," the report reads. "Mr. Richey became physical with her somewhere near her bottom area, leaving a bruise."

There is no indication that Rashad Richey was arrested or charged with any crime in connection with this incident.

Still, this is not the first time police were called to respond to a domestic dispute involving Mr. Richey and this woman.

Two other incident reports from the Atlanta Police Department state that the same female Richey is accused of assaulting called 911 on 25 January 2015 and 12 February 2015.

An officer responding to the scene on 25 January said they observed Mr. Richey "moving erratically, sweating profusely, and foaming at the mouth."

"Restraints had to be used to subdue him," the report reads.

The 12 February police report describes Mr. Richey as a "emotionally disturbed person."

Rashad Richey is the host of "Real Talk with Rashad Richey" on 1380-AM WAOK.

He was convicted of DUI, driving with suspended/revoked license, and failure to report accident earlier this year following a November 2014 incident involving another driver on Joseph E. Lowery Blvd.
