Union City, GA Becomes Consumer Fireworks Friendly with New Ordinance that Mirrors State Law

Wholesale consumer fireworks merchants could find it easier to set up shop in Union City, following recent action by the City Council this week.

At its 16 June 2015 meeting, the Union City City Council voted to repeal its existing fireworks ordinance in favor of new language that mirrors a new state law taking effect 1 July 2015.

The immediate outcome of this new ordinance will be to end any possible confusion between Union City laws and the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (O.C.G.A.). The Georgia Code takes precedence.
