(CounterPoint returns to Rome, Georgia, Memorial Day Weekend.)CounterPoint Music and Arts Festival has revealed the daily performance schedule for this year's Memorial Day weekend event, which features over 80 artists on 4 stages. Friday's schedule includes closing sets from Knife Party and Joe Russo's Almost Dead, while local legends Widespread Panic and festival favorites Papadosio will deliver 2-hour sets on Saturday night. Sunday features "The Sunday Summer Vibes Stage," with back-to-back sets from Manic Focus, Minnesota, Michal Menert, OTT and Tipper, followed by Grammy winning Zedd and festival closers Umphrey's McGee and Zeds Dead.
In addition, the 2015 yoga and workshop schedule have been released, featuring daily meditation and Vinyasa Flow, alongside special classes including Monkey Chant, Partner Thai Massage and Laughter Yoga to keep fans channeling their inner power while enjoying 3 music-filled summer days. CounterPoint is pleased to announce SEER founder Nick Atlas, Mike Frazier, Emaline Friedman, and Rome, GA's own Beth Novian Hughes as 2015's yoga and workshop instructors.
The Game Center will offer corn hole, giant Jenga, lawn pong and more throughout the weekend, while a schedule for mini soccer, a volleyball tournament, giant Twister, lawn bowling and many other group events can be found here. Yoga, workshops and the Game Center will all be located in the newly expanded Camping Headquarters.
In addition to all of the planned activities throughout the weekend, CounterPoint offers an extraordinary visual art experience highlighted by renowned local street artist turned fine art phenom Greg Mike and his ABV Agency who will curate an onsite live art experience with a pair of Live Art Cubes. These cubes will start as blank canvases and will transform throughout the weekend by talented local artists, who will be revealed soon. Incendia will also make its debut at the festival this year. Marrying the worlds of design, art and science inside a unique geometric environment, the essence of Incendia lies in the manipulation of flame across a majestic fire ceiling. Fans can enjoy the Art Village to check out rare arts, crafts and memorabilia, and interact with various installations throughout the grounds, including interactive art walls, vibrant shade structures and a photo wall.
This year's Midway will feature the return of the Silent Disco, now powered by Imagine Festival, which will bring a few surprises to the late night fan favorite. This stage will also be the location to experience hot local bands on the Atlanta Stage presented by Aisle 5 on Friday afternoon. The Midway is the place to be for great food and drinks, the Sunday Jazz Brunch and nightly bonfires.
3-Day General Admission Tickets are available for $195. Single-day tickets are available for $65 for Friday's opening night performances and $95 for Saturday and Sunday. Single-day VIP Passes are $150 for Friday and $200 per day for Saturday and Sunday.
