The Fulton County Commission gave final approval to a pair of annexation petitions received by the cities of Chattahoochee Hills and Palmetto.

For the City of Chattahoochee Hills, the 6 - 0 vote by commissioners ends a lengthy process that began in December of 2014, when the south Fulton municipality receive a citizen-led request to bring 4,920 acres into the city.

Chattahoochee Hills can now annex the land in question as soon as Tuesday, 3 March 2015; the date of the next city council meeting.

Palmetto, which received a petition to annex 26.793 acres, could add the property to their borders as early as Monday, 2 March 2015.
