Interim DeKalb County CEO Announces National Search for New Development Authority President

Georgia's third largest county is searching for a new leader to help kick start economic development within their borders.

Interim DeKalb County CEO Lee May announced 3 December that a national search to identify and hire a new DeKalb County Development Authority president is now underway.

"It is imperative that DeKalb County continue to move forward in economic recovery," said Interim CEO Lee May. "The county has made great strides during the past year, with the creation of an economic development strategic plan, and recruitment of business. With strong leadership, I look forward to our continued growth and progress."

Reporting to the DeKalb Development Authority, the president will be tasked with the development and implementation of strategies to assist with business growth and expansion throughout DeKalb County. Among other duties, the position will be tasked with helping to improve DeKalb's local economy, creating jobs, and diversifying the tax base.

The Royster Group, a leader in executive search and professional staffing services in the public and private sectors, was selected to conduct the search for DeKalb.
