Mayor Kasim Reed to Discuss Annexation into Atlanta with South Fulton Residents

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed has entered the fray over the future of unincorporated south Fulton County.

Georgia Unfiltered has learned that the Mayor, who formerly represented south Fulton in the state Senate, will meet with area residents to discuss annexation as an alternative to forming the proposed city of South Fulton.

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30PM, Monday, 17 February 2014 at Quality Living Services, 4001 Danforth Rd., SW, Atlanta, Georgia, 30331.

A previous comparison of tax rates show that south Fulton residents currently pay higher taxes than city of Atlanta residents. South Fulton's millage rate is 12.469 while Atlanta's millage rate is 10.240.
