Palmetto to Vote Again on Allowing Sunday Alcohol Sales

Here's a trivia question:

What metro Atlanta city was the only city to say no to Sunday alcohol sales?

The answer is Palmetto.

Located in south Fulton County, Palmetto is a city of 4,488 people. Two years ago, 314 of Palmetto's residents said no to Sunday alcohol sales between the hours of 12:30PM and 11:30PM. 297 Palmetto voters said yes.

Now the referendum is back on the ballot for the November 2013 election, and supporters of Sunday sales hope for a different outcome.

Here is the question Palmetto voters will see on their ballot:

"Shall the governing authority of the City of Palmetto, Georgia be authorized to permit and regulate package sales by retailers of malt beverages, wine, and distilled spirits on Sundays between the hours of 12:30 P.M. and 11:30 P.M.?
