Union City Mayor Ralph Moore resigned suddenly this week.

Moore, who was first elected in 1993, submitted his resignation letter (shown below) last month at the Union City City Council meeting.

Union City City Council Member Vince Williams, the mayor pro tempore, is now serving as the city's chief executive until the November elections, when a new mayor will be elected for a four-year term.

Union City is located in south Fulton County, and has a population of 19,456.
