Dear Better Georgia, Sign My Petition Telling John Eaves to Make Fulton County Government Employees More Diverse

Sign the Petition Today

Tell Fulton County Commission Chairman John Eaves that we want a government that looks like Fulton County - one that is diverse and brings together people of all backgrounds, ethnicities and genders - from every corner of our Georgia's largest county.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution dropped a bombshell on Fulton County's record of diverse employees, or lack thereof.

We were shocked by the numbers.

5,475 Fulton County employees:

83% are black.
14% are white.
1.5% are Hispanic or Latino.
1.4% are Asian.

This does not look like Fulton County.

For the record, Fulton County is 47.5% white, 44.5% black, 8.1% Hispanic or Latino, and 5.8% Asian. So if you’re like us, you see something very wrong with these numbers.

We need a county government that looks like Fulton County.

Fulton County is diverse. We can't trade institutional racism perpetrated by Whites in exchange for institutional racism perpetrated by Blacks. Both are wrong.

We can do this.

We can make Fulton County the county we know it can be: a leader, once again, in Georgia.

Fulton County can be a county where people move to start a business and raise a family because we welcome everyone and support a strong and diverse community.

Tell Fulton County Commission Chairman John Eaves that we want county government employees to reflect what Fulton County really looks like.
