Landmark/RosettaStone Poll Places Karen Handel Third in Wide Open Georgia Senate Race

The folks at Landmark Communications sent over their latest poll of 570 likely Republican primary voters.

This survey, conducted by Rosetta Stone Communications, reveals two things:

  • The race for the Georgia GOP U.S. Senate nomination is wide open; and
  • Former Secretary of State Karen Handel is a top-tier candidate, even though she's yet to announce whether a U.S. Senate campaign is in her future.

Among voters who say they are likely to cast ballots in next year's Republican U.S. Senate primary, Congressman Phil Gingrey receives 22%; Congressman Paul Broun gets 16%; former Secretary of State Karen Handel is two points behind with 14%; Congressman Jack Kingston is fourth with 8%; David Purdue has 1%; and another candidate rounds out the field with 9%.

30% of likely Republican primary voters remain undecided, meaning there is plenty of room for any candidate to expand their support with proper campaigning.
