Georgians headed to the 2012 Democratic National Convention next month may see some familiar faces from the Fulton County Sheriff's Department.
The Fulton County Commission recently approved an agreement between the City of Charlotte police department and the Fulton County Sheriff's Office for law enforcement activities during the Democratic National Convention.
From August 28th through September 7th, nine Fulton County Sheriff's officials will assist with law enforcement duties. The bill for their room, board, and transportation will be paid for by the City of Charlotte.
Fulton Commissioners Eaves, Darnell, Garner and Edwards --all Democrats-- voted to approve the agreement. The two Republicans on the Fulton County Commission, Tom Lowe and Liz Hausmann, did not vote.
