Retiring State Representative Picks Successor in Primary Campaign

State Representative Elly Dobbs, who earlier this year announced she would not seek another term in the Georgia House of Representatives, endorsed attorney Jason Esteves to be her replacement in House District 53.

“Jason is the perfect person to represent our diverse district,” said Dobbs. “He and I share a passion for public service and working to ensure students in this state have the resources they need to succeed. I know that he work tirelessly for his constituents, listen to their opinions, update them on all important issues and represent them to the best of his ability under the Gold Dome.”

Esteves, a former public school teacher, faces a crowded field in the July 31st Democrat primary, including current state Representative Sheila Jones and lawyer Robert Patillo.
