The Democratic National Committee Gives the Georgia Democratic Party a $10K Bailout

Wednesday morning, the Democratic Party of Georgia and the Georgia Republican Party both filed their monthly campaign finance disclosures with the Federal Elections Commission.

The media reports are true. The Democratic Party of Georgia is in dire financial straits. The Democratic Party of Georgia currently spends more than it raises.

For the period beginning February 1st and ending February 29th, the Democratic Party of Georgia raised $77,904.97, spent $81,536.25, has $43,670.56 cash on hand, and carries a debt load of $39,140.86. These figures include a $10,000 bailout from the Democratic National Committee.

The Georgia Republican Party, in comparison, raised $86,996.25, spent $82,610.91, has $767,166.59 cash on hand, and no debt.
