Broun/Chambliss "Budget or Bust" Act Comes Before Congressional Committee Wednesday

The mainstream media, and Congress, is finally giving Paul Broun's Budget or Bust Act the attention it deserves.

The U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs scheduled a hearing Wednesday on legislation that would require Congress to pass a budget or not get paid.

The Budget or Bust Act is the brain child of 10th district Congressman Paul Broun, who announced the bill early February. U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss pledged his support to the Budget or Bust Act later that month.

The Associated Press calls the Broun/Chambliss Budget or Bust Act a "long shot" that "might be dismissed as an election year gimmick," but it is important to note their neither Chambliss nor Broun are in danger of losing their seats in the upcoming election.

The committee hearing begins at 10AM.
