T.J. Copeland Seeking Open House Seat

A former state House candidate is hoping the third time will be the charm.

T.J. Copeland, who previously ran for state representative in 2004 and 2006, has thrown his hat in the ring again. But this time, his opponent won't be Sharon Beasley-Teague.

Copeland, finding himself in a new state House district, is capitalizing on the fact that there's no incumbent to run against. House district 63 is an open seat.

The new 63rd district includes portions of southeastern Fulton County, northeastern Fayette County, and southern Clayton County.

Copeland is running in the Democrat primary, currently scheduled for July 31st. Copeland is the only candidate registered with the state to accept campaign contributions.
