Public Service Commission Redistricting Bill Corrected in Committee

Twelve days ago, a small controversy erupted after a typo in a routine redistricting bill nearly resulted in a Public Service Commissioner having to run for re-election just two years after taking office, despite being elected to serve a six-year term.

When notified of the typo in Senate Bill 382, Senator Charlie Bethel, the bill's sponsor, promised to have a corrected copy of the legislation ready before its consideration in committee.

True to his word, Senator Bethel fixed S.B. 382. And that's all I have to say about that.
