Interested in Being a Republican National Convention Delegate?

Are you interested in representing Georgia at the 2012 Republican National Convention?

If the answer is yes, then mark the following date on your calendar:

Saturday, February 18, 2012. That's the date of the GOP precinct mass meetings across the state, and the first step towards becoming a delegate to the National Convention.

These precinct meetings will elect delegates to the county Republican conventions, scheduled for Saturday, March 10, 2012. The county Republican conventions will, in turn, elect delegates to the congressional district Republican conventions as well as the state Republican convention. And finally, the congressional district Republican conventions (scheduled for Saturday, April 14, 2012) and the state Republican convention (scheduled for the weekend of May 18, 2012) elects Georgia's National Convention delegates.

An individual desiring to be a Republican National Convention delegate must be elected at every level. That is to say, a person must attend their precinct meeting, be elected as a delegate to their county convention and be elected as a delegate to either the state or congressional district convention in order to be eligible to be elected as a National Convention delegate.
