Georgia Picks Up 20 Additional Delegates to the Democratic National Convention

In just over a year, Democrats from across the nation will hold their national convention to re-nominate Barack Obama and Joe Biden for another term as President and Vice President of the United States.

The Democratic National Committee recently announced the number of delegates Georgia would be sending to the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

124 pledged and unpledged delegates will represent Georgia at the 2012 DNC. That's an increase of 20 delegates from 2008.

The state Democratic Party will selects its delegates for the 2012 Democratic National Convention in the spring of that year.
