Unfiltered Thoughts on Early & Absentee Voting

I've posted early voting totals, broken down by congressional district, on this site for the past five days.

The numbers I've seen seem to suggest that the conventional wisdom is correct.

Republicans are more enthusiastic about this year's elections than the Democrats.

In four congressional districts, a pair of Democrat-leaning districts and a pair of Republican-leaning districts, the early voting turnout is higher in the GOP-leaning districts by about 40,000 votes.

If I had a venture a guess, I'd say the Republicans would sweep Georgia based on just the early votes alone.

The only way Democrats win in Georgia is on election day. The Democrats' November 2nd ground game and GOTV operation has to be kick ass or else the GOP will kick their ass from Ludowici all the way to Chickamauga.

And that's just the way it is.
