Republican Honeycutt Wastes Millions of Dollars in Losing Effort. . .Again

The quixotic quest of Republican Deborah Honeycutt to unseat United States Representative David Scott (D - 13th district) has come to an end this year.

With 99% of precincts reporting, Honeycutt trails political newcomer Michael Crane by nearly eight thousand votes in the 13th district GOP primary runoff election [SOURCE: Georgia Secretary of State].

Honeycutt's defeat marks the third consecutive time that she's run for Congress and lost, despite raising more than $6.7 million for all her congressional campaigns [SOURCE: Federal Elections Commission].

There's no word if Honeycutt plans another campaign for congress in 2012.
