Rasmussen Reports: Deal Opens Up Nine Point Lead On Barnes

Just a few days after squeaking by Karen Handel in the Republican gubernatorial primary runoff election. Nathan Deal has another reason to smile this week.

Rasmussen Reports released a new poll of 500 likely voters that show Deal leading Democrat Roy Barnes by nine points.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Georgia Voters finds Deal with 51% of the vote versus Barnes' 42%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and another three percent (3%) are undecided.
