Handel vs. Deal: Count All The Votes

If you tuned in to the live blog of Tuesday's election results, then you probably noticed that we called it quits around midnight without a declared winner in the GOP gubernatorial contest.

With 100% reporting, Deal leads Handel by 2,489 votes [SOURCE: Georgia Secretary of State].

Politico reports that the Deal camp is stopping short of declaring victory, but still talking like a winning team. And Karen Handel's campaign is adopting a wait-and-see attitude. This election is close and simply put, we need to count all the votes.

Let's let this process work itself out so that Georgians can be sure that their voices were heard, and that those voices were heard correctly.
