Less Than 20% Turnout For May 11th Special Elections

Yesterday was election day in the 9th congressional district of Georgia, as well as three state House and Senate districts.

Former state Representative Tom Graves and former state Senator Lee Hawkins were the top two vote-getters in the 9th district race. The two will face off in a run-off election scheduled for June 8th.

Jason Carter and Butch Miller are the new state Senators from districts 42 and 49. Rick Jasperse won the special election in House District 12.
