Johnny Isakson: If Health Care Passes, We Can Repeal It

If the health care bill passes, Congress can repeal it.

That's the message U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson (R - Georgia) brought to a meeting of the Houston County GOP Saturday.

Leaving little doubt that the topic of health care will be a major part of his campaign, Isakson told an audience of about 100 local Republicans that if President Obama signs the health-care reform bill that will be debated in Congress in the coming weeks, it can be repealed.

“The policy doesn’t go in place until 2014,” he said. “Because of that, we got the 2010 election, the 2012 election, before 2014 gets here. I tell you what, after the voters finish speaking out this November and they have another shot in 2012, I think we’ll have a great chance to repeal it.”

Well, that statement is sure to raise a lot of eyebrows from among ObamaCare backers.
