John Barrow Signs On To Congressional Pay Cut

Last week, Arizona Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick introduced H.R.4720; a bill that would cut congressional salaries by 5%.

21 Members of Congress have signed on to the bill as co-sponsors, including Georgia Democrat John Barrow.

The Hill newspaper reports that Kirkpatrick's legislation would result in "more than $4.7 million in overall savings to taxpayers." [Yager, Jordy (2010-3-8). Dem lawmaker pushes for Congress's first pay cut since the Great Depression. The Hill. Retrieved on 2010-3-8.]

To paraphase Sen. Everett Dirksen (R - Illinois), "A million here, a million there, pretty soon, you're talking real money."

Kudos to John Barrow for co-sponsoring H.R.4720. Now, where's the rest of the delegation on this piece of legislation?
