Rasmussen Reports: Isakson Leads "Generic Democrat" By 13 Points

Wednesday, Rasmussen Reports speculated that U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson (R - Georgia) might be "suffering from the same anti-incumbency backlash that many of his Senate colleagues around the country are experiencing in their reelection bids." Rasmussen's new poll shows Isakson leading a "generic Democrat" by only thirteen points [Election 2010: Georgia Senate. Rasmussen Reports. Retrieved on 2010-2-25.].

Here are the numbers:

Election 2010: Georgia Senate
Johnny Isakson49%
Democratic Candidate36%
Some Other Candidate4%
Not Sure12%

Johnny Isakson is sitting on a $3.9 million war chest. His only Democratic opponent, R.J. Hadley, has yet to file with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC); which essentially means that Hadley has not reached the $5,000 threshold that triggers the FEC's filing requirment.

I'm not saying that Johnny Isakson should rest on his laurels, but he's in pretty good shape right now.
