27 January 2010 Hosts Health Care Rally In Albany

Even though Republicans gained a crucial 41st vote in the U.S. Senate last week, advocates of government-run healthcare refuse to give up. In the southwest Georgia city of Albany Tuesday, a group of individuals allied with rallied for healthcare reform outside Congressman Sanford Bishop's office.

Participants in the rally say they want to encourage all democratic elected officials to keep fighting, and not give up in the wake of the recent Massachusetts election won by republican Scott Brown.

The Albany rally was part of a national call-to-action by designed to urge Democrats to "show some backbone -- starting with passage of a real health care reform bill."
