Savannah Morning News Calls On Obama To "Come Clean"

Even though Chicago is 956 miles away, that isn't stopping the Savannah Morning News editorial board from asking what possible connections there are between President-elect Obama and the scandal-plagued Illinois Governor.

"President-elect Obama and his staff must reveal any dealings they had with the disgraced governor of Illinois," the Savannah paper's editorial board writes.

President-elect Obama must come clean about any relationships that he or his staff had with indicted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

He got a mostly free ride during this year's campaign about any connections to crooked politicians. Now that he's the next president, that must end.

Obama, who has sought to distance himself from Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, said recently that he has directed his team to "gather the facts of any contacts with the Gov. Blagojevich's office so that we can share them with you over the next few days."
