Here's A Good Question Concerning Sanford Bishop. . .

. . . The Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting that 2nd district Congressman Sanford Bishop is being considered for Secretary of Agriculture in the Obama Administration [Source: Atlanta Journal Constitution, "Sanford Bishop for secretary of agriculture?", December 5, 2008].

If Bishop is indeed offered the cabinet post and accepts, then who might the Democrats recruit to fill his seat?

The first two people that come to mind is state Representative Winfred Dukes and former state Senator Michael Meyer von Bremen. Both are from Albany which is a key electoral piece in the district.
