New Ad Asks Georgians To Say No To Jim Martin

While watching the annual football showdown between the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech, the following ad from the National Republican Trust graced my t.v. screen before the start of the second half:

"Obama: Just One Vote Away in Ga. from Total Control"

The ad claims, among other things, that a vote for Jim Martin is a vote for Obama’s radical agenda.

In addition to the ad, the National Republican Trust is sponsoring robo-calls to Georgia voters featuring a message from Michael Reagan, son of former President Ronald Reagan.

"It’s important you turn out and vote for Saxby Chambliss," Reagan says in a telephone message. "If a Democrat wins, Barack Obama will have complete control over the U.S. Senate and will put through a liberal agenda including massive tax increases, citizenship for illegal aliens, new gun control, and pro-abortion laws."

On the Democratic side, civil rights icon John Lewis joined the Georgia Association of Black Elected Officials (GABEO) in endorsing Jim Martin for U.S. Senate, and urging voters to turn out for Tuesday's run-off election.

The Martin for Senate campaign also announced that Claudia Kennedy, the first female to achieve the rank of three-star general in the Army, would appear later today in Valdosta to discuss the contrast between Saxby Chambliss and Jim Martin on veterans’ issues.
