New DailyKos Poll: Chambliss Leads By Two

The national, left-leaning blog DailyKos released a new poll conducted by Research 2000 yesterday showing Georgia's U.S. Senate race still neck-and-neck with about 3 weeks left until the election.

According to the poll, incumbent Saxby Chambliss leads his Democratic challenger, Jim Martin, by two points with 5% going for Libertarian Allen Buckley and 3% undecided.

If the election for U.S. Senate were held today would you vote for Jim Martin the Democrat Saxby Chambliss the Republican or Allen Buckley the Libertarian?

Saxby Chambliss (R) - 47%

Jim Martin (D) - 45%

Allen Buckley (L) - 5%

Undecided - 3%

Says the founder of DailyKos, Markos Moulitsas:

"Just a little noise in the MoE the last two weeks, as Martin's one-point deficit is now two points. Same thing in the presidential race, just a little noise. The race is static right now."
