Democrats Hit Republican Honeycutt With 2nd Mailer On Social Security

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) continued its blistering attacks against Republican congressional candidate Deborah Honeycutt with a new mail piece that once again hits Honeycutt on her support for privatizing Social Security.

"Deborah Honeycutt favors George Bush's risky scheme to gamble your Social Security on the stock market," the mailer reads. "To keep our Social Security strong, Barack Obama needs Democrats like Congressman David Scott."

"Ms. Honeycutt may think spending millions and funding shady front groups will be enough to hide her record of supporting the Bush-McCain agenda, privatizing Social Security and diverting resources from public schools to private schools but Georgia voters won’t be duped," said Doug Thornell, spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. "David Scott has been a strong advocate for our children, has fought tirelessly against the reckless Bush-Honeycutt Republican policies, and Congressman Scott will work closely with Senator Obama to move America in a New Direction."
