With just over a month remaining before the November 4th General Election, today is the first day where voters across the entire state of Georgia can avoid the lines and cast their ballots early.
A handful of counties last week, including Cobb, Forsyth and Gwinnett, kicked off the early voting period with over 400 people making their picks for president, U.S. Senator, U.S Representative and a host of many other local and judicial offices.
"Advance voting allows voters to fit voting into their schedules when it’s convenient. Casting a vote is easier than it has ever been in America’s history," said [Lowndes County Board of Elections Director Deb]Cox, referring to the many ways to have a vote be counted.
