Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 Fails [UPDATED]

The U.S. House just rejected the estimated $700 billion bail out package backed by Democrats, Republicans and the President.

The final vote was 205 yeas, 228 nays, and 1 abstention.

Based on statements made on the House floor and media reports, Paul Broun and Lynn Westmoreland likely cast no votes on the bill. Jim Marshall likely voted yes.
