Atlanta Urban League Young Professionals Hosting Mayoral Forum - Sept. 13th

The Atlanta Urban League Young Professionals announced today that their organization is hosting a "Super Saturday" event, September 13th, where concerned citizens will be able to hear from the announced candidates for Mayor of Atlanta in a candidate forum.

WSB-TV (Channel 2) reporter Tom Jones is slated to moderate the forum featuring Atlanta City Council members Ceasar Mitchell and Mary Norwood, state senator Kasim Reed and long-time Atlanta attorney Jessie Spikes.

In addition to the candidate forum, the Atlanta Urban League Young Professionals (AULYP) will be offering a day full of educational workshops at where participants will hear from U.S. Congressman Hank Johnson, state Rep. Alisha Thomas Morgan, Atlanta City Council members Joyce Sheperd and H. Lamar Willis, Clark Atlanta University professor William Boone, and community activists Joe Beasley and Markel Hutchins.

Both the Atlanta mayoral candidate forum and the educational workshops are scheduled to be held at Grady High School.
