Previewing Michelle Obama's "Headliner" Speech

For the second time since I first arrived here in Denver, I've been on the floor on the Pepsi Center where 4,400 delegates will hear from Democratic party leaders and elected officials such as Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, DNC Chairman Howard Dean, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

This morning, Michelle Obama toured the Pepsi Center stage and stood at the podium with her two daughters in advance of her speech to the convention later tonight.

The Obama campaign previewed Michelle Obama's speech this afternoon saying that she will talk about her husband, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, the values that have driven him as a father, husband and public servant, and why she believes he will be an extraordinary president.

Prior to Mrs. Obama's speech, a short film --"South Side Girl"-- featuring her mother, Marian Robinson, and her brother, Craig Robinson, will introduce the delegates and America to Michelle Obama. The film will chronicle Michelle Obama's family background, highlighting her upbringing and the values that have shaped her as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, mentor and dedicated community service advocate.
