Georgian Selected As Democratic National Convention Doorkeeper

The Rules Committee for the Democratic National Convention recommended a slate of officers to preside over the proceedings in Devner's Pepsi Center. Among those officers is an Afghanistan and Iraq war veteran from Savannah, Georgia and the Mayor of Atlanta.

The Democratic Convention's Rules Committee recommended that delegates elect Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin as a co-chair of the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Savannah resident Collin McGough was recommended by the Rules Committee to serve as a doorkeeper for the convention. Both were elected without a single dissenting vote.
