Georgia Prepares To Back Joe Biden For Vice President

In about half an hour, 102 Georgia representatives will be among the more than 4,400 delegates who will formally select Delaware Senator Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee for Vice President of the United States.

But before Georgia delegates can vote for Joe Biden, he first has to be nominated and seconded on the convention floor.

The Democratic National Convention Committee has announced that Quincy Lucas, a Delaware woman who volunteers to work on domestic violence issues, will place in nomination the name of Joe Biden for Vice President. It is still unknown who'll second Biden's nomination, but it is expected that the Delaware Senator will be nominated by acclamation without much of a roll call vote.
