Democratic Convention Organizers Announce More Speakers

With approximately two weeks left before the historic Democratic National Convention is gaveled to order, the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) has steadily rolled out the list of speakers who will address the delegates and alternates assembled in Denver's Pepsi Center.

The first night of the convention will feature U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill and a tribute to Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy. The night will be headlined by Michelle Obama who will be introduced by her brother Craig Robinson. Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper will also address the Democratic National Convention.

Tuesday night will see speeches from former Virginia Governor Mark Warner and New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton who finished a close second to Barack Obama in the Democrats' presidential nominating contests. Mark Warner, a candidate for U.S. Senate from Virginia, will deliver the keynote address of the Democratic National Convention.

Wednesday night will feature the vice presidential nominee and on the convention's final night, Colorado Governor Bill Ritter will speak before Barack Obama accepts the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.

Beginning August 21st, Georgia Politics Unfiltered will be in Denver covering the Democratic National Convention.
